On Saturday, the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art held the opening for an exhibit featuring Rich’s Portraits from a Place of Grace. The project captures images and stories of community members from the historically black neighborhoods in Virginia Beach. Residents and visitors are able to appreciate the images in the museum and the accompanying public art installation on the site of the future African America Cultural Center of Virginia Beach, and project participants went home with prints of their individual portraits.
